The positive impact of libraries in the age of technology

In a world where technology is at everyone’s fingertips, every question can be Googled, book downloaded, and every audio book can be listened to in the car. So, this begs the question, is there any use for the library anymore? After speaking with librarians and library users from around the state, it has become apparent that libraries continue to play an important role in the communities they serve. In fact, libraries are contributing to positive outcomes for both adults and students alike. Today, libraries are used as a positive community resource for technology and information, as well a safe place to study and spend time with friends.
